このページでは、私が働いている旅館（ホテル）での客室清掃の仕事内容を紹介します！
私の実体験を基に書きますので、他のホテルとは違うところも多いと思いますがご了承ください。
「旅館/ホテルの客室清掃やってみようかな？」と思っている方のご参考になればうれしいです。
仕事内容
客室清掃では、下記で紹介する1～4の内容を、流れ作業のようにやっていきます。リーダー的な人がいるので、その人の指示に従って進めます。
1、片付け
まずは客室の片付けです。
- 部屋のゴミ回収
- 使用済みのシーツや浴衣を回収して、リネン洗濯業者さんに出す
- 敷布団をたたんで押し入れにしまう
使いっぱなしの部屋をある程度片付けます。
2、枕/掛け布団カバーを新しくつける
枕と掛け布団に新しいカバー（シーツ）をつけて、押し入れにしまいます。
3、掃除機がけ
次は掃除機掛け。これが一番体力使う気がします。腰などを傷めないよう、姿勢は気をつけてやってください。（他サイト：掃除を少しでもラクにできる「姿勢」とは？）
私の働いている旅館は和室が多いので、畳の目の向きに沿って掃除機をかけます。
4、拭き掃除
テーブルの上や鏡、風呂やトイレ、畳以外の床など、拭けるところは全部拭きます。
物品の補充やゴミ回収もきちんとできているかチェックして、お客さんが入れる状態を作ります。
その他の特徴
客室清掃の仕事の特徴を紹介します。
就業時間は9時から昼3時。休憩は無し。
仕事時間は朝の9:00から昼の3:00までの6時間。その間、休憩はありません。
なので、私は寮に帰ってから料理して3時か4時頃に昼食を取っています。他の同僚の方は、仕事の後は食べないで、夜ご飯までガマンするという人も多いです。
お腹が空いてしまうので、仕事の合間にササッとお菓子とかパンとか間食をしてもOK。おにぎりを食べている人もいました。（うちの旅館ではOKなんですが、他のところはどうなんでしょうか？厳しいところもありそうですよね。）
体力が必要？スピード勝負？
体を動かす仕事なので、けっこう疲れます。でも、ほとんど家事の延長のような作業ですし、そこまで体力面を心配する必要はないと思います。私の働いている旅館でも、70代くらいの女性も働いていますよ。
あと、体力がいる作業は、できるだけ男性が担当してくれるようになっています。
スピードについては、もちろん時間の制限はあるので、あまりのんびりはできません。ですが繁忙期にはスタッフを増やしてくれますし、ちょっと頑張ってテキパキやれば大丈夫。
会話は少なめ。もくもく作業が多め。
客室清掃なので、お客さんとの会話はほとんどありません。廊下ですれ違って挨拶するくらいです。
同僚の方とは、仕事の進め方を相談したり、指示を聞いたりなどの会話はありますが、作業自体は全部一人で行います。１人で黙って作業を進める時間が長めの仕事です。
アルバイトでも寮に入れた
上記の通り、一日の労働時間が6時間で短いし、私はアルバイト。社員寮に入れてもらえるのか不安でしたが、ちゃんと入れてもらえました。
